Short history The Belarusian state university establishment ?National Research Center for Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics? (NRC for Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics) was created on the basis of the scientific research laboratory for statistical analysis and modeling of applied mathematics and informatics department at September 11, 2000 accordingly to the Resolution ? 1293 of the Council of Ministers of Republic of Belarus of the 18 of August, on the grounds of the order N211 of the rector of BSU.

NRC for Applied Problems of Mathematics and Informatics was created in order to contribute to development of theoretic and applied scientific research in the fields of computer modeling and data analysis in Republic of Belarus.

Scientific research laboratories
  • SRL for statistical analysis and modeling;
  • SRL for mathematical methods of protection of information.
  • The basic activity directions of the Center:
  • Applied and theoretic research in the field of computer data analysis, mathematical modeling of complex systems, processes and events in economics, technology, ecology, medicine, and other fields of national economy;
  • Development of software in the field of theoretical and applied informatics;
  • Scientific research in the field of mathematical methods of protection of information.
  • The Center carries out:
  • Development of software in the field of multivariate statistical analysis, robust against distortions of data;
  • Development of software in the field of statistical quality control of production;
  • Teaching, consulting and development of methodic instructions for up-to-date statistical methods of information processing;
  • Carrying out scientific researches, concerning statistical computer data analysis in the science, technology, medicine, and other applications;
  • Development of software in the field of econometric modeling and forecasting;
  • Consulting on using of econometric analysis and forecasting methods for solving practical tasks;
  • Carrying out tasks, concerning modeling and forecasting of dynamic of the main macroeconomic indices.
